Guided tours of Watermen’s Hall not only tell you something of the history of the Watermen and Lightermen of the River Thames – they also help raise money for the preservation of our fine Georgian hall.
All tours must booked in advance, and take place on a Monday morning or afternoon, and last about an hour and half. Each tour can accommodate a minimum of 10 people, with a maximum capacity of 30, at a cost of £15 a head, including tea and coffee.
Your tour leader will be Carol Ratcliffe, Assistant Clerk to the Company, who will show you round the only remaining Georgian Hall in the City of London and tell you something of the 500-year history of the Watermen and Lightermen of the River Thames.
To place your booking please call Carol on 0207 7929 7456 or email [email protected]
Payment can be made on the day, either by cash, cheque or debit card (MasterCard or Visa only).
All proceeds from each tour goes towards the preservation of our Georgian Hall for future generations of Watermen and Lightermen to enjoy.

Please do not come to the Hall with a view to being shown around without contacting us first. We hate to disappoint but are unable to conduct ad hoc tours due to the rooms often being in use.
