Freeman, Mike Adams will give this talk and will cover the move of the Watermen’s Company to St Mary-at-Hill and construction of the Hall between 1776 and 1780.  Highlighted will be the key role of Eleanor Coade in producing the statuary and architectural decoration at her Artificial Stone Manufactury at Kings Arms Stairs, Lambeth Marsh that enliven the facade.  Lastly, an account will be given of the measures to be taken to conserve the statuary and clean the facade in readiness for the 250th anniversary of the Hall in 2030.

Doors will open at 18:15 and refreshments served before the talk at 18:30.  Tickets are priced at £15*
