Annual Dinner – 18th February 2020
The Company’s most formal event of the year, was held as usual at Fishmongers’ Hall with kind permission of the Court of the Fishmongers Company. This allows more Freemen and their guests to attend, was a huge success.
The Master’s guest was the senior Alderman below the chair (SABTAC), Alderman Vincent Keaveny. He has the support of the Court of Aldermen as candidate for Lord Mayor in 2020-2021. The Prime Warden of the Fishmongers Company, David Jones DL, was also present, allowing the Master to thank him for allowing the Company to use Fishmongers’ Hall. Junior Warden Ted Gradosielski BEM welcomed the guests. As the photograph shows, there was plenty of colour on the stairs as, amongst Doggett’s Coat and Badge Winners, were the two Millennium Coat and Badge Winners and the Diamond Jubilee Coat and Badge Winner.
It was a full house, with everyone enjoying fine food from chef Stefan Pini’s kitchen, with carefully chosen wines, to celebrate our Master, Mr Tony Maynard.
The Master and Mistress, Tony Maynard and Mrs Sue Maynard were supported by an honour party consisting of the Company Bargemaster Robert Coleman, other Doggett’s winners Gary Anness, Jerry Mccarthy, Jude McGrane, Terry Enever, Merlin Dwan, Jack and Patrick Keech, the winners of the Millennium Coat & Badge John Dwan and Mark Hunter, the Diamond Jubilee Coat & Badge Chris Anness and the 500th Anniversary Coat and Badge Alfie Anderson.
